Subject: Protection of Constitutional Rights
Dear Sheriff Dorning:
This is to follow up on our earlier conversations concerning your department's violation of our Constitutional rights when your deputies stopped our Roe vs Wade observance on January 14th. We are concerned that nothing is being done about it and are confused because of your conflicting statements. You first said you had asked the FBI to investigate and asked us to have our people give your office verbal statements as a basis for possible disciplinary action or re-training for your deputies. Then when you received a letter of concern from the Foundation for Moral Law you were angry and said you were not going to do anything at all, that we had to file a complaint with the FBI on our own. Then Channel 19 News reported that you said you had already done an inquiry and found that your deputies had operated properly. You also told Channel 19 that your deputy stopped us because we were blocking handicapped access to the Court House which is simply not true as you have seen from the video we provided you. Which of your statements is correct? Needless to say the deputies are your employees, not the FBI's and we certainly are not going to the FBI because this is a local matter and is your responsibility. Sweeping this under the rug won't work.
Sherrif Blake Dorning
Our concern is that our individual liberties were trashed by your people and if nothing is done about it, then your people are prone to do this kind of thing again. This is why we intend to persevere until we see corrective action. What action is Sheriff Blake Dorning go to do. Will he correct his deputies for their bad behavior, or will he stand up for them and cover up this injustice? It is only right that you acknowledge that your deputies were mistaken in stopping our North Alabama Pastors Pro Life Rally on January 14. The abusive deputy, should either apologize or be disciplined for improperly interrupting our event, which was even approved by the county commission. His actions were also uncalled for when he threatened to arrest our people. Further, he showed disrespect for God's Word and for the minister he interrupted and told to stop. It is only reasonable that you give us written assurance that our Constitutional rights will not be violated again.
At this point we are looking at a range of options and among these is a long term public information effort involving press conferences, news releases, chain email, letters to the editor and use of our web site, "WholeworldinHishands.com." Our correspondence to you and the Channel 19 News report are also being placed on our website.
We also are evaluating political action with both Republican and Democratic Parties and expect to start action in conjunction the monthly Republican Men's Breakfast soon. Needless to say, the public and most of the key local and state Republican officials have expressed their support for pro life as well as for our Constitutional rights. In addition we plan to make a presentation to the Executive Committee of the Madison County Republican Party concerning this matter in coming weeks.
It is worth noting that immediately after our presentation to the Madison County Commission on February 13th, we were approached by a Democratic Party activist who was present who offered to work with us in pursing this matter. If we don't see reasonable action taken soon we will take them up on their offer.
We simply want our Constitutional Rights to be acknowledged and reasonable corrective action taken and I should not have to remind you that you have a Constitutional responsibility to protect our Constitutional rights as well as pursue criminals.
You also have a moral responsibility by God's law to protect the unborn babies that are being slaughtered down the street from your office where over 1,000 are being murdered each year, while your people are more concerned with harassing the people who stand against this genocide.
You are an elected public servant of the people who are strongly pro-life and expect you to act on behalf of the people and not just to protect your deputy's wrong doing.
Please let us know by end of the month what corrective action you plan to take.
Sincerely,
FR. James Henderson

Abortion foes blocking ramp, Dorning says
A local priest claims two Madison County sheriff's deputies tried to break up an anti-abortion prayer vigil on the courthouse steps Wednesday.
The Rev. James Henderson said he and others attending the North Alabama Pastors Stand for Life event were harassed and repeatedly threatened with arrest, even though the rally had the blessing of county leaders.
