Since California has not complied with the Center for Disease Control CDC requests for abortion data in many years, and since California accounts for more abortions than any other state in the U.S, CDC totals are routinely incomplete. 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities;
about 3/4 say they cannot afford a child;
and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner

The previous year we were honored to have as our special speakers, Judge Roy Moore, Congressman Robert Aderholt and Mo Brooks, and Rev Jimmy Jackson, Pastor of Whitesburg Baptist and President of the Alabama State Baptist Association.
All area pastors are welcome to come and participate, and speak for 2 minutes. Invite your pastor to come.

13th Annual North Alabama Stand for Life in Huntsville
The Alabama Alliance Against Abortion is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Stand for Life on the east steps of the Madison County Court House on January 17th at 12:00 noon. The Stand for Life is a solemn, prayerful, memorial service for the 50 million babies killed by abortion since the Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision of January 22nd, 1973. All who support the sanctity of life are invited to attend. This year’s keynote speaker will be Mrs. Robert Bentley, wife of Governor Robert Bentley. Both Mrs. Bentley and Governor Bentley are known for their strong support for the Sanctity of Life. Mrs. Bentley will speak as a mother and grandmother whose life has been an inspiration to us. Congressman Mo Brooks and Congressman Robert Aderholt have been invited to speak from their perspectives, with Congressman Aderholt being last year’s keynote speaker. The agenda will include an introduction by Reverend James Henderson, an opening prayer by a local minister, remarks by local ministers, recognition of pro-life leaders and accomplishments, brief remarks by local and state pro-life office holders, remarks by Congressmen in attendance, the key note address by Mrs. Bentley, a closing prayer, and brief closing remarks by Reverend Henderson.
Mrs. Bentley and other speakers are expected to be available following the event for questions by the press.

What does the Bible Say About Abortion?
The Bible has several verses dealing with murder and abortion. One of the key verses to understand in developing a biblical view of the sanctity of human life and abortion is Psalm 139. This Psalm is the inspired record of David's praise for God's sovereignty in his life. He begins by acknowledging that God is omniscient and knows what David is doing at any given point in time. He goes on to acknowledge that God is aware of David's thoughts before he expresses them. David adds that wherever he might go, he cannot escape from God, whether he travels to heaven or ventures into Sheol. God is in the remotest part of the sea and even in the darkness. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be (vv. 13-16).
Here David speaks of God's relationship with him while he was growing and developing before birth. Notice that the Bible doesn't speak of fetal life as mere biochemistry. The description here is not of a piece of protoplasm that becomes David: this is David already being cared for by God while in the womb.
In verse 13, we see that God is the Master Craftsman fashioning David into a living person. In verses 14 and 15, David reflects on the fact that he is a product of God's creative work within his mother's womb, and he praises God for how wonderfully God has woven him together.
Pro Life Pros and Con Debate
The liberals put up many interesting and logical reasoning for having an abortion. Having this simple operation covers up some serious mistakes, gets rid of the responsibility and burden or raising a child. Based on simple logic of human reasons, liberals often win the debate. The issue still remains, are there any moral consequences? Are having the abortion procedures moral wrong and does it simply violate, Thou Shalt Not Kill?
